“To Build An Emerging AMS Community in China” Seminar in Beijing 2017-05-16

May 15th-16th 2017, respected guests from American Montessori Society (AMS): AMS Senior Director of teacher education Ms. Gina Lofquist, AMS Senior Director of school affiliation and development Ms. Sara Wilson, AMS Secretary of the Board Mr. Munir Shivji, and former AMS President and Director of international programs Ms. Joyce Pickering, together with AMS General Director of affiliation school and training center in China attended the“To Build An Emerging AMS Community in China” Seminar at headquarter of Wisdom International Education Group in Beijing. 

 

The seminar included panel discussion and group discussion where several agreed ideas were put forward. Participants got a better understanding of Montessori community in China, recognized prioritized points in planning, and discussed about the possible ways to strengthen existing network for further cooperation in new areas.

 

 

 

 

 

All participants agreed that cooperation is all it takes to reach every party’s full potential for our common aspiration. This seminar aimed at developing cooperative partnership for a sound community of Montessori educators and institutions. In addition, current problems were discussed and possible solutions were proposed during the seminar, upon which Representatives from AMS made a memo and would have further discussion with AMS Board and relevant teams.

 

WIEG would like to carry forward the commitment of AMS to develop cooperative partnership in this booming Montessori community in China, in an effort to provide quality Montessori education to children and adults in China.
