Jiade Montessori Kindergarten (JDM) was founded in 2007 and is a sister school of Beijing Montessori International School (MSB), which traces its history back to 1990. JDM aims to give more Chinese children access to science-based Montessori education and now operates four campuses in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu. Montessori education is child-centered, nurturing children to become confident, proactive and self-directed learners. The teaching team follows the AMS teacher-training system, adopts mixed-age classes, and the curriculum covers five areas: practical life, sensorial, mathematics, language and cultural science.
